Two students sit together in the dining hall, eating and chatting

Sharing meals together is an important part of community life at an Oxford college. Our food is said to be some of the tastiest in the university and we serve a varied menu with a vegetarian option at every meal.

Dining is usually relaxed and cafeteria-style, except on formal occasions when students are expected to dress smartly - although we are one of the only colleges where you don't have to wear your academic gown at formal dinners. A non-vegetarian main course and two sides currently costs £4.25 at a standard lunch or dinner.

Guest nights - formal evening meals to which you can invite friends and family - are held through the term on Tuesday and Friday evenings.

We are understanding of special or religious dietary needs and will endeavour to accommodate these on request.

The Terrace bar

The Terrace bar is a great place to meet friends. By day, it is a café serving coffee, soft drinks and snacks. In the evening, the space becomes the college bar. Food and drinks in the Terrace are subsidised when purchased with your University card, just as in the Dining Hall. The Terrace also hosts the College pool table, which sees frequent use during the evenings. Once the warm summer weather arrives, you can also enjoy the outdoor seating area that gives the bar its name.
